2D Animation tests.

Animatic.

The animatic of our film.

Concept (characters).

These are some of the concept art of the characters created to help us visualise how the animation could look.

The Script.

EXT. CROWDS OF PEOPLE. NO DEFINITE LOCATION.
Flashing images one after the other, scenes of people celebrating and cheering, grabbing money from the sky and the ground. Money flowing past fills up the screen. A roaring noise is heard.
RANDOM PEOPLE:
“(CHEERING.)”
LEVIATHAN:
“(ROAR.)”
Fades to black. Title fades in. Interference. Cut to next scene.
EXT. A MILD DAY IN A FIELD. A SMALL TOWN CAN BE SEEN IN THE BACKGROUND.
The reporter stands in the middle pf the shot, a mic in hand, looking bewildered. The channel logo sits in the top left, and a newsfeed bar scrolls along the bottom.
REPORTER JEREMY:
“Not long ago a tragedy occurred when three un fortunate souls were crushed under the weight of hat seems to be a pile of debts and I.O.U. slips.”
The camera pans screen left. A huge pile of debts and I.O.U slips sits on the ground, a few limbs can be seen protruding from underneath.
OFFSCREEN ANCHORMAN:
“Surely they’re not just falling out of the sky?”
REPORTER JEREMY:
“Well Tom, that seems to be the case. There is no sign of…”
The reporter is in interupted by an ominous roar filling the air, the ground shakes and the reporter almost loses his footing, but recomposes himself. He looks out of shot of the camera, his expression turns to shock and fear.
REPORTER JEREMY:
“No… It can’t be!?”
LEVIATHAN:
“(ROAR.)”
The camera shoots footage of the ground as the camera-man start running, his heartbeat can be heard as he flees. The live feed is cut off for a few seconds, interference affects the screen and sound, then replaced by coloured screen test bars with a message apologising for the technical difficulties and will resume normal programming shortly. Dull beep sound rings out.
EXT. AERIAL FOOTAGE OF HOBBESVILLE.
There is interference until the screen fills with footage from high above Hobbesville as the helicopter circles the disaster zone showing buildings in ruin.
EXT.ON THE GROUND IN HOBBESVILLE.
More interference makes the screen blink then the reporter returns on screen, doubled over and out of breath. In the background, the land is smouldering and scorched.
Two towers of people sweep past in the background creating huge craters as the reporter speaks frantically and out of breath in the foreground looking over his shoulder just as the towers exit screen.
EXT. AERIAL FOOTAGE OF HOBBESVILLE.
Camera changes to aerial shot, showing the Leviathan as it destroys the town, ripping up trees and eating them, stomping on buildings, etc.
REPORTER JEREMY:
“The beast has torn up the landscape and now it’s destroying Hobbesville. No precautions have been issed yet, which begs the question, ‘What is the government doing about this?’ There is no sign of retaliation or any actions being taken! Another question raised is why is Leviathan doing this, destroying what he helped us build?”
EXT. ON THE GROUND, TOWN IN RUIN.
In the background small houses are flying up in the air, and a tower of people crushes buildings with each step.
REPORTER JEREMY:
“The beast is swallowing people’s homes, and crushing small businesses under the weight if its oppressive heel. It’s an economic nightmare Tom.”
OFFSCREEN ANCHORMAN:
“And what of the inhabitants of Hobbesville, Jeremy? How are they reacting to this situation?”
EXT. AERIAL SHOT OF LEVIATHAN.
Camera shows crowds of people running towards the entity and climbing on.
REPORTER JEREMY:
“They’re running towards it!”
OFFSCREEN ANCHORMAN:
“TOWARDS IT?”
REPORTER JEREMY:
“With arms wide open Tom. But wait… “
EXT. REPORTER ON THE GROUND.
REPORTER JEREMY:
“JESUS, WHAT? WHY IS IT MAKING THAT SOUND? Oh God, what the hell is it doing?”
LEVIATHAN:
“(GIGANTIC ROAR.)”
The camera view changes to the reporter pointing up. The camera zoomz out trying to capture the entirety of the Leviathan in the shot. The beast doubles over holding its mid-section as the noise continues to rumble.
The Leviathan squats down, and moans loudly as it defaecates a large pile of paper. The Leviathan then explodes, erupting I.O.U’s and debts everywhere. A debt slip covers the camera, then static snow fills the screen. The screen turns off like a t.v being switched off.
THE END.
